Executive Search Firm – Commissioner of Education

The Board of Regents of the () is seeking proposals to procure the services of an executive search firm capable of conducting a national search for the Commissioner of Education and President of the University of the State of New York.


Subcontracting will be limited to thirty percent (30%) of the total contract budget. Subcontracting is defined as non-employee direct personal services and related incidental expenses, including travel. prior approval is required for any subcontracted services under any Contract entered into as a result of this RFP. The selected Contractor is responsible for the satisfactory performance and adequate oversight of their subcontractors. Subcontractors are required to meet the same requirements and be held to the same standards as the Contractor.

Terms of Contract

will award one (1) contract pursuant to this RFP. The contract resulting from this RFP will be for a term anticipated to begin April 1, 2020 and to end September 30, 2020, with one optional six-month renewal.

Bidders, or subcontractors that are affiliated with or perform other work for the Search Firm, must ensure that they have no conflict of interest on such project and shall have clear and separate governance and oversight structures in place to prevent any conflict of interest or the appearance of a conflict of interest.
